Other General Meeting highlights:
- The general membership voted unanimously to fund and purchase Thursday Folders. These will be available for teachers and students to use next fall! - Additional funds raised - thank you to all who contributed!
$263.94 in Flood Relief help was collected in the fish tank fundraiser. The money has been given to NBE families that incurred loss in the winter floods.
$455 was raised in the Final Lap of Walk-A-Thon.

These boxes are a great deal, they support local business, and Cascade Office Supply will donate $1 to the NBE PTA for every box sold! Your child's box will be ready on their desks for them on MEET YOUR TEACHER DAY!
The North Bend Elementary PTA has awarded its Academic Enrichment grants for Spring, 2009:
Toy Workshop 2nd Grade This is a 90 minute workshop on solids and liquids. Students will use wood making tools to create a boat and test it in water.
Robotics in Elem. Education 4th grade This teaches entry level robotics that incorporates technology into areas of science and math.
Class Guitar Project Music This will provide 9 guitars for a guitar unit for all 3rd grade classes.

Two Great Fundraisers to help the 5th Grade go to Camp!
Greenraising Support the 5th graders and "GO GREEN" at the same time!The 5th graders have kicked off another fundraiser for their O.P.I. trip in May through a catalog and website sales drive with Greenraising. The drive is Nov 5th through 19th. Greenraising offers environmentally-friendly items that you can feel good about purchasing while at the same time helping out a great cause! Check out these green items in the catalog (contact your local 5th grader see the catalog) or to reach the click here. Orders placed by Nov 19th will be back just in time for holiday gift giving. You can place your catalog order with any 5th grader OR you can place orders via the website during this time. To place internet orders, click here and put the 5th grader's name in the Special Handling Instructions box so they can get credit for the sale. Catalog orders placed with 5th graders will be delivered back to the school for pickup and distribution by the 5th graders or available for you to pickup directly. We will let you know when the orders are in. Help get free merchandise with Campbells Labels for Education!
You can help North Bend Elementary earn free merchandise such as computers, audio/visual equipment, physical education equipment, reference books, musical instruments or even a mini-van, simply by collecting Campbell product proofs of purchase and forwarding them to North Bend Elementary.
To kick-off this year's collection drive, North Bend Elementary is asking parents, teachers and friends in the community to collect Campbell product proofs of purchase that can be redeemed for free educational merchandise. For a complete list of products and point values click here.
Simply save product proofs of purchase slips from eligible Campbell products and send them to North Bend Elementary, Attn: PTA Cambells Soup Program.
