Great news! In an effort to bring more after school programs to our students and NBE families we will be offering the first of our 6-week long After School Programs starting January 17, 2012. We will continue to offer our wonderful year-long programs while introducing our mini sessions.

New for the 2012 School Year
This January we will be rolling out the first of our 6-week long after school programs. These mini session will replace the RISE program that was only offered in the spring. We will transition into fall, winter, and spring After School Programs going forward. The 2012 winter session will run from January 17, 2012 through March 2, 2012. There will be no classes offered during mid-winter break. Please take an opportunity to enroll in the academic courses that can have a powerful impact on your child's school perfomance.

All registrations must complete prior to classes starting.

We will be looking for four volunteers the week of January 17 to assist with getting all students to the correct classrooms and attendance taken.

Panther Cards is a no-effort fundraising program where gift cards from over 100 retailers (QFC, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Amazon, Starbucks, Home Depot, and Lowes, just to name a few) can be purchased through the NBE PTA. In return, a portion of the gift card amount is given back to NBE PTA to be either used for the PTA general fund or 5th Grade Camp -- you choose! Click here for an order form, and also to see what percentages our school receives. If you wish to order gift cards, simply print and fill out the form, attach a check for the full amount, and return it to your child's teacher. Your gift cards will arrive shortly!

You can also order your Panther cards on-line by following these steps:

1. Go to the website www.shopwithscrip.com
2. Under "Family Sign-up" choose "account"
3. Enter your email address, password, first name, last name, gender, year of birth, and zip code
4. Review and accept agreements
5. Enter the enrollment code for NBE: 721DD3CD15845 and select "join"
6. Select the SHOP tab and you are ready to place your order
7. Print a copy of your order and return it to school along with your check.

During the holiday season many of our families like to bring the teachers gifts but often don’t know what to get. This year the PTA has created the “Giving Tree”. The teachers are filling out bookmarks with items they could use in their classrooms. The bookmarks will be placed in a bag that is on the Giving Tree that is located outside of the workroom. If you would like to purchase one of the items, just take a bookmark out of the bag.
