Have you joined PTA yet?

E-mail Print PDF

Have you joined yet?!?

Our GOAL is 1 member for every student, so we need 495 members!!  We have a great start to our goal, but we need you to join!!! For only $10 per person you can make our school an even better place for our students and teachers. This membership fee is required each year and is a source of revenue for all the great things the PTA does for the kids.

Why should I join?

The PTA at North Bend Elementary is an organized and motivated group of parents, teachers and community members working together to make our school a better place for our children to learn.

The NBE PTA provides social, cultural and educational enrichment opportunities for our children beyond what is paid for through the school district.

PTA members will receive discounted pricing at family fun night events and other PTA sponsored events.

PTA members receive a student directory which is available only to PTA members.

 PTA FAQs:

If I join, do I have to volunteer?

No, volunteering is not a requirement for being a PTA member.  You can volunteer as often or as little as you like, or not at all.

How much does it cost to join?

$10 per person each year. We would love for each Mom and Dad and Grandparent and nearby relative to join to show support. The size of our membership is a major factor in the influence our PTA has in the state-wide PTA organization and the funds received from the state level PTA.

What do we do with the money we raise at our fundraisers?

Last year the PTA raised over $44,000.  This year we will have two fund raisers, the Walk-A-Thon and the golf tournament.  See below to learn how the funds were used.

What does the PTA do for North Bend Elementary?

The PTA provides roughly $10,000 in classroom enrichment funds for the teachers to use to purchase materials and supplies for their classrooms.

The PTA funds classroom grants for special events such as the Chinese Lion Dancers, a geology grant, a greenhouse grant, books, Reading Counts program and more.

The PTA funds field trips throughout the year including The Nutcracker, Goodbye Moon, Woodland Park Zoo, Pacific Science Center and more.

The PTA fully and/or partially funds 5th grade camp, Assemblies, Artists in Residence (AIR), Physical Education Support, Music Department Support, Watch D.O.G.S

The PTA funds social events such as Book Fair, Family Bingo Night, Watch D.O.G.S. Pizza Night, Dad’s n Donuts, Experience Summer Project and Field Day.
